REQUIRED SUMMER READING

Along with the assigned summer reading, the teachers may assign a project or give a written test.  Please refer to the information that will be sent home with your child at the end of the year.  Summer reading will count as a reading grade(s), depending on the teacher's requirements.

 Going into 7th Grade

  • Students must read And Then There was None, by Agatha Crhistie

 Going into 6th Grade

  • Students must read Miss Frisby and the Rats of Nimh, by Robert C. O'Brien

  Going into 5th Grade     

  •  Students must read From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, by E.L. Konigsberg

    • Students will complete a one page book report form and a 10 question questionaire, which will be due the first day of school

 Going into 4th Grade

  •  Students must read The Mouse and the Motorcycle, by Beverly Cleary

    • Students will complete a book report form, which will be due the first day of school

Going into 3rd Grade

  • Students must read Midnight on the Moon by Mary Pope Osborne 

    • Students will complete a book report form, which will be due the first day of school

    Going into 2nd Grade

  •  Students must read any three (3) books on their current reading level.

    • Students should keep a record of books read on a reading log.
